A 133-acre private estate in Tucson’s Rattlesnake Canyon is on the market for $8.9 million.
Villa Esperero comes with a 9,000-square-foot mansion, a 4,000-square-foot sports complex and site where a 5,600-square-foot guesthouse can be built.
The property, owned by Mark and Monika Riely, is one of Arizona’s posh places with an elevator, 25-foot high beam ceilings and a 60-foot lap pool.
The couple paid $3.65 million for the home and about 50 acres of the sprawling estate in 2005, according to public property records.
"This luxury property offers iconic and unparalleled views of Sabino Canyon and Tucson,” said Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty agent Judy Smedes, who had the listing with Kate Herk.
The luxury home was designed by Tucson architect Ron Robinette.
The property also includes a 47-acre vacant lot that can be purchased separately.
Villa Esperero is the second priciest home for sale in Tucson, according to listings. The priciest house is a 21,000-square-foot home in the Catalina Foothills that is listed for $9.9 million.
