The seller, Jeff Sawyer, paid a record $4.9 million for Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier's 9,326-square-foot Gilbert mansion last year.
University of Arizona basketball fans, rejoice! Take a basketball tour around a $3.5 million mansion in Gilbert, Arizona.
The sale of Sawyer's neo palazzo five-bedroom, seven-bathroom estate in the upscale Circle G neighborhood is the second priciest in Gilbert history. The mansion has a resort-style backyard and a home theater with snack bar next to the basketball court.
“It was an awesome home to list,” said RJ Cushing of Gilbert-based JK Realty, about the $3.5 million sale.
He said the seller is a University of Arizona alumni and a big supporter of the school.
Umbrella Properties LLC sold the home on Monday, according to property records. Sawyer was listed as manager of that group.
The house was built for Sawyer in 2014 and has never sold before. Nathan and Brittany McClain of Indiana were the buyers.
